I am still figuring out where I want to go with the damned layout of this thing. I want to customize it, but my lord, LJ makes it a real pain in the ass to get what I'm looking for. I figured I could just bump around a few chunks of HTML and what not, but it's not that easy. Hopefully one of these days this thing will embody my own style with some amount of usability geared towards ya'll.

BoingBoing Neglect
BoingBoing recently posted about a vintage book entitled "Full Revelations of a Professional Rat Catcher" (1898). How they posted this and neglected to mention "Rat Catcher" by Crispon Hellion Glover, I do not know. I tried emailing Mark, who posted the entry on BoingBoing, but I have not heard back or seen any changes. I took some pictures of the copy I own so you can kind of get an idea what Crispin's book is all about. He takes vintage books and inserts images, words, drawings, and also removes and "censors" out portions to create a unique work.

Here is a video of Crispin reading from one of his other books:

He did a similar reading from Rat Catching when I saw him at the Castro Theatre. He is perpetually on tour, so make sure you catch his performance (and screening of "What is it?" and, at least this last time, "Rubin & Ed".)

It is also well worth noting that "What is it?" has probably the best credits I have ever read. For example, "Outer Sanctum Mocking tormentor and walkie-talkie grabbing woman that cries later".
